Aisha Alhassan has been declared the winner
of the April 11 governorship election in Taraba state, thus making her
Nigeria’s first female governor-elect. just before you quote wrongly ,Dame Virginia Ngozi Etiaba was the first female Governor of Anambra State, from November 2006 when the then Governor of the state, Peter Obi, was impeached by the state legislators, but she was later removed on February 2007, when an Appeal Court nullified the impeachment.
Mama Taraba emerged the first female governor today after a Taraba state governorship election petition tribunal
sitting in Abuja, chaired by Justice Musa Danladi
Abubakar declared Alhassan, popularly referred to as Mama Taraba, as the
bonafide winner of the election thereby, nullified the election of Governor Darius Ishaku of
the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
one out for PDP. congrats Madam
