Thespian Family Theatre presents 'Itan', this March at Muson for Easter weekend

Thespian Family Theatre & Productions (TFT) is set to bring back the exciting stage play ÌTÀN to the theatre on the 26th and 27th March 2016.
The play, ÌTÀN written by Ayo Jaiyesimi and directed by renowned theatre veteran, Ben Tomoloju, is an intriguing play laced with both cultural and contemporary dance and music that keeps viewers at the ‘edge of their seats’!
It captures the sublime tension and misunderstanding that exists between different age generations – the millennials, in particular. It also outlines subtle modern cultural mismatches
ÌTÀN is based on cross-generational conflicts prevalent in our modern day world. ‘Old school, die-hard’ village elder Pa Latinwo is shocked to realise that his lost and found ‘city roller-coaster’ grandson, Dee-Kay, wants no part in his world. Both are rooted in their beliefs, battle for supremacy for themselves and their generations. TIME (personified as Àsìkò) catches up with them and takes them on a journey into the past and future and they discover dark secrets. Will this mediation save the day or tear both worlds further apart? Don’t miss this exciting 90- minute story from Thespian Family Theatre & Productions.
The play features some of Nigeria’s stage favorites including Nobert Young, Sam Uquah, Nissi George, Segun Dada and Wazobia FM’s ‘Lolo 1’- Omotunde David amongst others.
