#BayelsaDecides:Card Reader Reject Jonathan, Dickson, Sylva and others

Chief Timipre Sylva and Governor Seriake Dickson
Residents of Bayelsa state will today, Saturday, December 5, 2015, will elect a leader to oversee the affairs of the state for the next four years.
Although there are other political parties involved in the polls, the election is a straight fight between Dickson, of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), and his predecessor, Timipre Sylva of the federal-ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
There was card reader malfunctioned across the state, the despite INEC’s assurances. Just like what happened during the March 28 presidential election, the card reader malfunctioned when Dr. Jonathan turned up this morning for accreditation to vote in today’s Bayelsa governorship poll.
In Sagbama, the card reader could not recognize the fingerprint of Governor Seriake Dickson, that of his wife and his mother.
Dickson expressed dissatisfaction over his ordeal and the high rate of card reader failure.
The governor also berated the security agencies for the violence reported in Ekeremor, Nembe and Southern Ijaw LGA. Dickson said one died in the violence. He urged supporters to resist intimidation.
`There was another mild drama in the polling unit of the gubernatorial candidate of the All Progressives Party, Sylva after the card reader machine rejected his PVC multiple times.
The card reader at first did not read the finger prints of Sylva's until after several attempts at the Dukaku centre polling station in Okpoama, Brass Local Government.
