BIU: Miss Margret Writes Heart Touching Tribute To Her Late son

Miss Margret Ukwu, a lecturer at the Department of Theatre and Film Studies, University of Port Harcourt, has written a heart touching tribute to her late son, Yves Justin Nnamdi Ukwu who died on the 26th May, 2015 at Benson Idahosa University (BIU) Health Centre, from what could be best described as negligence from the Nurses and Health workers on duty.

Yves Justin Ukwu
Justin was until his death, a 200 Level student of Benson Idohosa University (BIU), Benin City  where he was studying International Studies and Diplomacy. According to the mother, Justin (19) dreamed to be a diplomat or a politician after his graduation and contribute his quarter to development of Africa in general and Nigeria in particular.  But his life was tragically cut short on the 26th of May, 2015 at 10.15am at the Health Plus Medical Centre Benson Idahosa University, Benin City.  Justin was said to have been admitted to the BIU medical centre (HealthPlus) on the 24th of May 2015; but was given little or no medical treatment and he died within 48 hours after he was admitted.  As a matter of fact, the Nurse who was on duty reportedly, placed him on drips and was watching Telemundo when his friends who surrounded him discovered he has given up the ghost.
Six months down the line, the school has been unable to provide the medical report as to find out the truth behind JUstin's death. According to Miss Margret, this is the most worrisome aspect of the entire incident as she writes on  her Facebook page:
I acknowledge that I wasn't born great but now I feel it's time to fulfill my destiny- Yves Justin Nnamdi Ukwu 2015. Six months on & Benson Idahosa University, its Chancellor Margaret Idahosa, President Feb Idahosa, Dean Student Affairs Laurie Idahosa, Vice Chancellor Ernest Izevbigie, CMD Dr Atiti & other agents/cohorts continue to hide medical records & shield the murderers. The more they hide the more it becomes glaringly apparent that a serious crime occurred on the 26/5/2015, a crime which preceded that date. Every avenue available to redress this will be used. As Yves said, his time to fulfill his destiny has come & God & man will bring it to pass.

  4. medical negligence is in every school> Kelechi in uniport is a case at hand. the girl that died in unilag was also because of this issue. it is just of recent that i learnt that two nurse were sacked in upth for kelechi's case. but in BIU case they seem to be playing planks with the issue
