The 23- year- old British actor, John Boyega whose parents are from Nigeria, has lashed out at those who called for a boycott of the upcoming film , "Star Wars" for casting the Nigerian born British actor, John Boyega claiming it is an "ati-white propaganda and an act to promote white genocide" .
In his reaction when post with the question on the ongoing prejudice about the movie, he told V magazine, “I’m in the movie, what are you going to do about it?” the actor fires back at critics ."You either enjoy it or you don’t. I’m not saying get used to the future, but what is already happening," Boyega said. "People of color and women are increasingly being shown on-screen. For things to be whitewashed just doesn’t make sense.”
Boyega explained that he seeks out roles that convey "a secret commentary on stereotypical mentalities.”
“It’s about getting people to drop a prejudiced state of mind and realize, 'Oh shit we’re just watching normal people'," Boyega said.
It’s not the first time Boyega has been criticized by fans complaining about the possibility of black as Stormtrooper.
“Star Wars” newcomer thinks the racist reaction to his appearance "is totally unnecessary,” and told the minority of critics who focused on his skin color to ‘Get Used to It’
