There is a riot going on in Unical which has kept commuters their cars for hours as the Students shutdown The Whole school
and Etta-agbor road. From the Reports
coming from the area, the cause of the result is not far from the 10% increase in the school fees by the school
management. According to a student at the rioting ground
“we the students of Unical are tired of the continuous
extortion by the management in areas as school fees and
other charges, the school senate promised to look at the
matter and offer solutions but it have been four to five
months now and no adjustment have been made. more so,
the issue of registration fee which is getting closer to 20k
now is unbearable for a federal institution. we are angry and
we feel like if this outgoing VC administration doesn’t do
anything before heading over power by November, nothing
will be done again as it will take time for the new one to do
so.”
