El-Rufai Calls Biafra Agitators Losers

The violent Biafra agitation is some parts in the southeast, Nigeria has continued to trigger reactions.
Mallam Nasir Ahmad El-Rufai, Governor of Kaduna State  and former Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja has reacted to the recent Biafra agitation.
In a statement issued on Wednesday, December 2, Governor Nasir El-rufai  through his aide on Media  and Publicity appealed to the residents in Kaduna state to remain calm.

Addressing newsmen, he said:
The Kaduna state Ggovernment has appealed to all residents of the state to remain calm, and continue with their lawful activities.
Following reports of the recent violent agitations in parts of the Southeast zone, the government urges our communities to shun any and every attempt at provocation. It is clear that some elements in the polity wish to divide our people, and to profit from discord.
Part of their goal seems to be to attack some members of an ethnic or religious community in order to stoke anger and trigger a reaction by that community. These losers will not be allowed to divide the country or to escape justice by converting their criminality into a religious war.
The government assures the people that the long arm of the law will catch up with those stoking the violence, prejudice and hatred. There is no doubting the resolve of the new government in Nigeria in ensuring that justice prevails everywhere. Every Nigerian is entitled to security and safety wherever they live.
Let us all say ‘Never Again’ to the profiteers of strife, whose bread is buttered by communal and religious violence. Let us keep the peace, promote harmony and uphold each other in our God-given common humanity.
